No Giants here! The Great Frederick disbanded them immediately as a silly expense. And so would I!
However, When I’m finally given my palace back and take my rightful place, my guard Grenadiers will be quite tall as they will all be Russian supermodels.

Interestingly some historians throw around a theory that F1’s obsessive collecting of giant men for his guard wasn’t madness but a cunning ploy to make him look bonkers to other monarchs. Left alone by his neighbours he then quietly built and trained his superb army which F2 immediately put to use on his death.
Nice theory. They look ace in the Berlin museum

This week's output has been just three Perry pikemen, inspired by the ECW talk and finding my Pikeman's Lament project box again. I'm sure the one on the left is modeled on an old friend of mine who worked for GW and ended up in the Knotted Seal.

15 points on't tally, if you please.

Take the pikes away and that's a very unfortunate pose - one hand cupped at groin level and the other firmly "tea-potted" on the hip.

(Nicely painted, though, ZB.)
