I gather that all Ayton-related "hueys" have to be paid for. Eventually......

We all know when Tim talks about his ‘friend’ in Bury who he’s really talking about. So it seemed natural. And we’re the same age.

Are you familiar with The Wicker Man..? It's the Ayton bio-pic.
Oddly enough, last night, whilst watching a re-run of the Top Gear episode where Clarkson (steam train), May (Jag) and Hammond )testicle-jarring motorcycle) race each other from London to Edinburgh, there was a shot towards the end when May passed a road sign on the A1 that clearly said "Ayton" (worryingly, there were no other names on the sign and the road layout depicted appeared to be a complete loop.....). The (other) really weird bit was that it appeared just after a sequence where both the train and the Jag had supposedly passed Berwick and were on the final run-in to Edinburgh.

So can those of us who have never been there before conclude that Ayton shape-shifts (or at least shifts) in times of crisis?

Yep, there's an Ayton in the Scottish Borders, about 54 miles south of me.

Yep I’ve got relatives there. There are also 2 Aytons near Middlesbrough which benefit from the greatness of proximity to that sophisticated metropolis.

Like the Hotel California, you can check out any time but you can never leave Ayton.

More prosaically, it may have been this Ayton: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ayton,_Scottish_Borders

Speaking of which, sad news on Elektra. She may have some brain damage/early dementia apparently. Don't do drugs kids!

My mate generally doesnt visit his haunts in December as he's too mean to give the expected Christmas tip.
