The last of the Republican Romans, a unit of Levy or camp guards. Figures by Aventine Miniatures, hoplon shield transfers by LBM and bases by Warbases as ever. Just 20 figures to go and that is it, definitely it!

Loving those. That's very nice work, and it would be great to see those 'in the flesh'. If my own project turns out half as well, I would be more than happy.

(But you need an arid mat to go with the basing style.)

What an inspiring table - and liking your camp guard levy. And the Medusa shield really adds a certain je ne sais quoi!

The very last unit for my Punic Wars project, a 20 figure Allied Italian heavy infantry unit for the Carthaginian army. Figures from Aventine Miniatures, shield transfers from LBM and bases from Warbases as ever. I received the WI Giants in Miniature Hanibal as a gift from Dan (as Matt sculpted him), so all the basic colours are blocked in already.
