Re: Penda's Crimean War Project
Lieutenant-General Cathcart and ADC are the most recent additions to the project. More in the usual place.

Another nice figure base in a thread that is now 24 pages of excellence!
Amazing really how big this is getting -it is after all what one might generally consider a "minor" period compared to the usual mainstream periods

Re: Penda's Crimean War Project
Thanks VB! I think it suffers from being overshadowed by the Napoleonic Wars at one end and the ACW at the other. There's also the general perception of incompetence on both sides when it comes to commanders. Not to mention the "Is there anything else except the Charge of the Light Brigade" syndrome? Currently I'm working on the 88th foot, later the Connaught Rangers. Of course then there's the French...

Not to mention the Turks.
And, of course, the Sardinians.

Re: Penda's Crimean War Project
The 88th line infantry regiment are added to the project. More on the blog. This will probably be the penultimate entry on this thread, partly because I've just got some unreleased Eureka Miniatures to complete, and if I'm honest partly because I'm disappointed by the relative absence of interest. Perhaps if they'd worn tricornes...

Re: Penda's Crimean War Project
It's remiss of me not to have posted before but I have certainly very much enjoyed seeing your Crimean War units; they are beautifully done and it is also a period for which I do have some interest. So, apologies!
Cheers,
David.
