Marmalade? The fleet marmalade in WWI was nominated as one of the causes of mutiny in the findings of a post war committee. It's basis was turnips. Maybe by WWII with a land bridge to Seville, they made better marmalade.

Thanks. I've got beige, ochre and orange. It really is rather bright although all the on screen samples of the FS number appear a bit pink.

So this shade seems to be used solely on a seasonal variant of the SS camo scheme. I love the idea that, late on in the war, the Germans could actually issue new kit to the front line troops and get them there during the appropriate season. I'm sure this would have taken priority over minor things like spares for tanks & weapons.
In reality they would probably have been issued to new troops and that units that were pulled out of the line would have disposed of the rags they were wearing and got whatever was on hand at the time.
As I have no intention of painting Germans in anything bigger than 15mm it won't se much action but I might use it for the Earl of Essex's ECW troops.

Actually no, the german supply system was so chaotic, the uniforms did arrive ahead of ammo etc. A bit like supplying cammo paint, but being short of the needed solvent for it!

Chipping away at a big box of Armies in Plastic making up units for AGW. The small unit numbers of AGW mean its easy to fudge together skirmishing groups from those poses I never had use for in the past. I used to hate the rifle but beaters but as skirmishing poses theyre great, just 5 plus an officer and theres your unit.
So far I've got:
12 man Russian Guards plus senior officer
6 man Russian shock troops (rifle but beaters)
6 man Prussian sharpshooters (5 with the scoped rifle plus officer)
2 x 12 man Prussian infantry
12 man British infantry
6 man British skirmish unit
