His Russian Guard Cossacks are also worth adding to the pile.

I've got those Murats, and the 1812 Russian command sets. Very nice sculpts - looking forward to seeing yours painted.

I'm now finishing off my collection of Marshal Murats (Sho Boki Murats, with AB ADCs)...
Yeah, they're lovely. I also got a heap of the Russian generals, but haven't touched those yet.

Yes you are absolutely correct. I think everyone in the French army expected him to be shot.

Stop it Fred, you are rekindling my interest in Napoleonic history! I'm supposed to be summoning up enthusiam for painting Myceneans.

I get that, every time I think I have escaped, the napoleonic era drags me back in. Davout was the bees knees, along with Massena and a fondness for Lannes.
Mycenaens are good though, doing mycenae itself, or one of the other cities?

But there is something about shakoes and the fate of empires which no half naked bronze age warrior can kindle in a heterosexual breast.

I dont have the skills for buildings but can slap on paint. I got some classical Perry Greeks from Tim Hall and some metal Myceneans (archers, slingers and great heroes) from Foundary. Enough to keep me busy.
Yeah, Grizz I know what you mean - the beat of drum sounding the Pas De Charge!

I meant painted as athenians or mycenaens or myrmidons.... not the cities.
