Did I paint those Confederates?
Yes you did. And very nice they are too.

Fire and Fury are my favourite set of rules. Certainly the ones I’ve used the most. Do the labels green to match the bases, cream lettering and a little Blu-Tac to hold them to the base and job’s a good ‘un.
Was thinking of developing 10mm Italian Unification armies for them but thinking on the 1688 possibilities I wonder if a variation of F&F might work for that?

I'm thinking pre-printed brigade stats on laminated cards that slot into the base behind the brigade command stand. Maybe.
Age of Honour is a BF&F variant which claims to cover 1700 onward. I've played them. I wasn't overly impressed, but that may just be due to my inexperience. I have the PDF if you're interested. I'm sure them can be tweaked to cope with a higher ratio of pikes and matchlocks. There's something on TMP about there being an ECW variant in Arquebusier a while back.

Andy’s way of doing the bases was very practical and unobtrusive. I generally don’t like the aesthetics of big labels for units. One of the reasons I cooled on Rommel.
