Mine started out as a bit of fun, but whilst painting them I started having ideas about them causing trouble in an 18th century imagi-nation; cue visions of SYW Hussars chivvying snarling Goblins . . .
I can see a group of historicals from any period doing a bit of underground treasure hunting and coming across a lair of gobbos/dwarves/undead/elves etc...
another use for Simons excellent corridors.
[I have dug out my old Mantic Dwarf army box in preparation for December, but can't help feeling we missed an opportunity to have people painting 'monsters' in "Spooktober"?]

Well, I just purchased some Flintloque Dwarf Landwehr for Dwarfcember, so they may appear in a less than serious Sharp Practice game at some stage. The Orcs might end up being used in Dragon Rampant, if I ever get my act together, along with the old school Northstar Celts.

My orc and goblin force is quite large. It hasn’t seen action for about 10 years but it is being readied for some Dragon Rampant games and most of my medieval/ancient armies have a fantasy base or two that can be added into the fun - usually priests/shamans/wizards with a historical connection to relevant myths.

I must check out Dragon Rampant again. I wonder if I have the figures to do a loose Irish plus Bolg using orcs.
