Found some Warlord Late Republican Romans in the cellar whilst having a clear out... so that's one dilemma solved.

First three bases of legionaries done!

These are what I have. I really like them, other Warlord placcies less so. Their EIR are tiny, I got some free with a copy of WI a while back.

They were another company at that time - don’t recall the name - folded and got bought by WL.
Later offerings in their range were in-house and notably bigger.
Same story with their hoplites.

No, warlord did eir themselves, gave away a freebie on WI, around the xame time as army painter hit somewhere around 2008. This was before they bought wargames factory (I think they were).
