Indeed. Knit one to be sniffed at. A purl amongst twine...

I'm starting to wonder if the Cursed Jumper has been using the Count as a Puppet all this time and has only now decided to exert full control!

Sorry to hear you can't make it Andy. I hope all is ok with you.

So, with a week to go our finely-crafted, subtle scenario organisation is shot to rat-shit by a last minute withdrawal, so we've come up with another master plan.

The magnificent forces of Albon and the dastardly Europans have both heard rumour of the discovery of the Ayton Chalice, an ancient relic discovered on crusade by the Yorkshire Templars. Rumoured to give eternal life (although some say it turns all water to Tetley's), both forces are keen to acquire it. Standing in the way is Ali El Picheld and his Isango tribe, leading a confederation of native forces determined to use the Chalice to cement their alliance against the white-faces.
Day one will involve each player in two scenarios where their opponent might be native, Colonial or even a mixture, before all the Colonial forces descend on the eponymous Isango settlement near the Wazoo river, where Ali has rallied the tribes and the archaeologists jealously defend their discovery. All will fight all in a maelstrom of conflicting priorities and petty vendettas.

Let battle commence.

(For those that are interested, Isango is the Zulu word for Gateway)

Excellent!

The colonial expeditionary force of the Most Catholic Grand Duchy of Medetia will, naturally, obtain this hugely important holy relic. Heretics and savages will be swept aside. Maybe.

Our ships have all been equipped with pizza ovens and huge stocks of Chianti, so our fighting men will be well-provisioned for the struggle ahead.

Avanti!
