It may sound like heresy but I was totally underwhelmed by St Marks. The freely accessible bits were just a standard Italian cathedral and beyond that it was €3 to look in here and €3 to look down there etc. Hardly worth queuing for. The Doge's Palace on the other hand was Renaissance shock and awe. Everything about the place was intended to send a message, "This is Venice, who the f#@* are you?"

Essex Boy wrote: Thu Jul 18, 2019 8:35 pm I've just taken delivery of the MDF Venice I ordered at UK Games Expo seven weeks ago. Oh my 'kin' god! There's a lot of MDF here.

Five bridges, feck knows how much raised street and eleven buildings - some of them huge. All for £100, delivered.

Now that's what I call a bargain.

What the feck am I going to do with it?
Donate it all to a poor Scotsman, down on his wargaming luck?
So Paul....was this the kind of stuff u had in mind for your Venetian Horror game at Ayton?? Could get some stuff complete by then to use if you want?? Get EB on it too??!! Haha

I loved wandering around the city. It's impossible to get lost. If you pick a direction and stick to it you either come to a sign for St Marks or the Rialto or you reach the lagoon.
