Ok here we go, everytime I look at this pic I think about how awful the faces are
The ACW cavalry horses are not too good, this picture gives some idea of the horseseseses themselves
contrast this with AB cavalry horses
Regrettably cannot find any pictures of my BH Spanish and OG DOW

Somebody mentioned Battle Honours
I bought a lot of ACW from battle honours and they were good value. I got them from
https://oldglory15s.com/Battle-Honors_c5.htm
A word of warning though, they do them in large packs and the Napoleonic figures were awful with moulds having worn out though - that was a few years ago, not sure if its changed
I think old glory do some nice figures but some poses can be naff - I do like some of my Duchy of Warsaw in particular and the Spanish weren't too bad. The biggest problem with OG is horseflesh, I think they're awful and I'll never buy another cavalry figure from them. The other problem is faces, they are more like faeces
Nothing beats AB and I'll never buy anything else these days - that has to be qualified though by the fact that I've now amassed an huge collection of 15mm Napoleonics from all sorts of manufacturers over the years and therefore do not have to baulk at the cost of collecting large numbers to build an army
I'll try and add some pictures to illustrate but many of them are on my old photofuckit page
If they did Russians and a few other things, I would not be looking past AB at all. I did ask if any chance the gaps would be filled but was told unlikely as Tony had other things he wanted to sculpt.
A6dd in the reputation this early war has as a vad seller and.....

All these pages, and not a single Heyy Steve reference?
My experience has been that the OG-OGs were a bit lumpy looking as bare metal but painted up nicely and mix well enough with the contemporary Battle Honours. This would include most the all of the ACW range, the French line (all arms) and the Austrian Hungarian troops and the Russian Foot. Thought these last two sometimes needed some work on the moulding and casting. (Both the old ABs and OGs are 15s, where as the new BM and ABs are 18s.)
At some point in the 90s, sadly, that sculptor died and the new one took over the lines. So anything else, such as the AH Germans, or the bulk of the rest of the Nap range for that matter, are the realm of the infamous "Heyy Steve" (She Wants the D!) poses. Real hit or miss. Some are really nice, but there really are so many weird and awkward poses in those codes. That said the command personalities / vignettes are mostly very nice.
Concur on the BM cavalry. The riders are too small and the mounts are poorly posed and strangely proportioned. The infantry is a bit stiff, but most of what I've got is mostly satisfactory.
One range we should add to this list is the Capitan Range - these are better than the BM, esp the cavalry and mix well enough IME with the ABs. His new work is under the Xan label and is even better.
Some thoughts on buying options, at least Stateside -
* OG Army (BM and OG25s) gives 40% off MSRP. Useful for cheaply acquiring the reasonably well developed equipment range. Wagons, supply train, etc.
* OG15s will custom cast lots at no cost (OG and BH) - meaning you can get 50 figure bags with whatever mix you want in them. Want command to support 12 figure BNs v 36 fig BNS. They'll sort it for you. Also, decent rates for bulk discounts for >$200 orders IIRC.
I'd say my order of merit would go:
1. ABs. Hands down the best
2. Capitan/Xan. Sculptor may be a Mini-Barton-in-Training. His new stuff, under the Xan label out of Spain, is also nice. And his WWII 20mm stuff is also worth a look
2.5 Boki EE. He really is a talented sculptor. And mostly fills in gaps in ABs ranges, particularly with Russians. I'd rate his #2, but for the fact that his offerings are rather limited.
3. OG-OGs. & BH. I use these interchangeably to fill out my older units. You've got to know the OG codes though, or you'll be in Heyyy Steve territory... unpredictable at best, terrifying at worst.

We're too grown up for that. (Actually, we aren't - we're just all very old and forgot.)

Yes! He likes Revolutionary subjects as well - he's one of only two people I know who have done pre-1805 Bavarians in the Rumford uniform (the other is in 20mm). Unfortunately, he is also glacially slow - most of his projects have been ongoing for years without any danger of them being finished. A shame, as he is - as you point out - a talent.

Woooohooooo if sho boki match with AB I am golden. (Except for Suvarov, but he is interested, some poking and cash might speed them up)

Sho Boki are great. They're also designed to be mounted on AB horses, so you need to buy your horses from AB. Have a look at these Sho Boki Murats, mixed with AB ADCs:
