Undoubtedly true for all of us I think! Without my hobby refuge I'm really not sure how I would have coped, over the winter particularly. As a deaf person it's been very difficult, zoom type games being out of my range.
As to cost/value/expense it's surely great value for us all relative to our budget. I've been spending between £100-200 a month since this malarchy all began and it's money well spent in my view given the distraction my hobby has provided me with. Perhaps even helping followers of my blog as well.

About £30 a month in the UK, so £360.

not knocking the price, I like a round of golf (not played in years though). just comparing pricing.

I was not aware you also had hearing issues Penda. It is basically why I do not zoom.

I suffered a sudden serious to profound hearing loss in the mid 90's. As a consequence I retired early from teaching in 2002. My hearing declines by about 4% a year according to the audiology tests I undergo periodically. F2F games, even wearing my aids, can lead to amusing conversational tangents I'm told. My family and friends have much to put up with dealing with the issues but bless them all they never throw in the towel!
