The writing of rules.

A demanding mistress that offers certain allures which she doesn't always honour but - ah- the lure of the chase.
If you aren't into writing rules, I can't explain.

I've written 3 complete sets of rules, many years of effort. They are, to be charitable, all indifferent but again, if you don't write rules, you don't understand.

The thread title sounds like one of those alliterative Neville Shute novels ("Requiem for a Wren").
