Sorry, chaps, I hadn't realised that I did not post my final decision. I went with the Willz/Luddite solution and, so far, it is working spiffingly.

So there I was happily glueing stuff with a bottle of cyanoacrylate when it stopped coming out. Thats strange I thought so I peeled off the label and the bottle was completely empty. Every.last.drop had been used !
It's all thanks to my homemade bottle stopper made from 1.2 mm piano wire and a dowel (throw away the top that comes with the bottle).

Got to be some sort of record - have you told the manufacturers? Offer to write a review and they might send you some more!
I bought a pack of three, and the first one (opened immediately they arrived, back in June) is still going strong.
