I've never understood why it seems that the only pointing poses comes in officers.........
Surely lots ordinary rank and file would be yelling, pointing and starting to leg it whilst yelling " Sir Sir Sir, look, they're behind us and there's farsands of em" type of pose

Quite possibly in certain European armies, but obviously not in the British army. 😁

The Airfix French Foreign Legion set had one pointing "NCO" figure amongst a group of marchers. One of the more effective 'over there'poses IMHO.

That was one of their nicest sets. Though it inexplicably had a legionnaire wading through water with his rifle in the air

Third figure along would be quite good if it didn’t look like he was holding the rifle near the end of the butt backwards?! and was instead holding a loo roll.
