I saw the same trial and thought the red and Blue looked good too.....the same can be acheived with basecoats and washes but it saves one step in the process.

Purps also does oil wipes - baby oil. But that’s only when he’s run out of KY

Popped into GW, the paints aren’t available until the 15th but the shops are doing painting demos. From the description I managed to drag out of the sales assistant they sound very much like ‘magic wash’ - more expensive but possibly consistent quality and a very wide range of colours. As such, might be very useful.

I just preordered a hatful. In ‘orsey colours. Fer ‘orses. And military-looking greens.
God, GWs paint colour names are pure cringe.

First model almost entirely done in contrast paint.

This took 17 minutes of actual painting time plus 20 minutes for the first coat of the khaki to completely dry. I am going to spend another 10 mins or so detailing the face and doing a bit of highlighting on the green but I'd be happy to slap him on the table as is if necessary.
