Chris - I did use the Apothecary White but then highlighted over it. It makes for a nice shade/base, but certainly not necessary.

Continuing to see where and how I can get good use out of the CPs. Started a 6mm TBM Russian House here. I think this may be a great application for these. Hard to go wrong with these models as well. Wanted one of everything they make after getting my first order in recently.
And my first British soldier for the SP2 project. One of the things I'm finding out satisfying about this approach is how easy it is to render some discoloration to the trouser legs with about 30 seconds worth of effort. Went with Perry plastic for the bulk of this force, with some WL for good measure. The faces on the RA are as good as I can manage as they're rather pug-like in the bare metal.
