I'm not so sure. There is some very high standard painting on those figures. That wouldn't be beyond the realms of reality for truly ''pro-painted'. The painter is well known and routinely charges $100+ per figure.

If, as ET says, he can command prices in excess of $100 per figure, then it is a 'reasonable' overall price. If I had the disposable necessary the quality is there to make me consider it.

FWIW, if I had that wedge to drop on Space Hulk, I’d lay out the thick end on some jaw-dropping custom terrain, and just get the figures Fernandoed.

I know the chap who paints to this quality:

At the end of the day, the market determines if something is worth it. It will be interesting to see if someone buys it.
Personally, I just think of all the other things I could do with that kind of money. I prefer not to think about the things Purps would do with that kind of money.
