They look damn good and I have to admit seeing the Victrix Saxons and their designs for Norman’s I was impressed by them as well. They are planning an early HYW range and I think that’s the point at which I lose my plastics virginity.

Victrix Naps are terrible. I’ll never buy them again, too many fiddly parts. Their ancients are quite good though. You have to be careful with build pose as they can easily look too static and unrealistic

I'm keen to see what I can do with 6mm CoC.

That is my understanding. A message from Steve at Little Big Man Studios, who part owns Victrix says:

“That is a run down of what we are working on over the next 6 to 8 months but with extra capacity we can do more. Projects we are wanting to start alongside these are a Biblical range and Early Hundred Years war”

I believe he is looking for more sculptors to help increase their output.

But I thought you were doing existing collections only?

I might have to bend on them. Always wanted an early 100 year wars army, rather than the Agincourt tin cans or wars of the roses.

Yes, that was always my favourite period of the war - although I have so many medieval campaigns in varying stages of completion. If Claymore Castings had moved faster with the mounted elements required I might have actually completed an army, but the Victrix stuff has been looking better with each release and will be tempting.

Today I have mostly been making a wet palette. Found a suitable sized plastic box, I think it was from a backup cassette for the server at my old job, bought a pack of two sponges from Aldi and a pad of Hobbycraft throwaway paper palettes. Will give it a try tomorrow.

Well, maybe not "mostly", I spent four hours rearranging lingerie this morning but I was being paid for that so it doesn't count as a hobby.
