As for Zulus, I did just wonder whether it would be just too anachronistic to have a 24th Foot Re-enactment society, complete with mounted infantry section, Gatling guns, rocket tubes, field artillery and 17th Lancers in support?

Of course Colour Sergeant Bourne was still alive in 1938, so perhaps the idea has some legs . . . . I'll give it some thought.

And only 84 - still plenty of life in the old dog, I'd wager. (Of course, the screen version would have been 106!)
