I don't like grids, but I can't deny that the one game of TTS I've played worked very well. I've no reason to doubt that the ECW version would be just as successful.
As much as I hate to admit it, if the logistics of laying out a grid on a fecking huge table can be sorted, FK&P might be ideal for Ayon. The rules are quick to learn (well, for some they are) but mostly, having agreed a grid size, we'd all know how big to make our units. Base and figure count wouldn't matter, so long as we kept roughly to a common size.
I wish I could see Simon's face when he reads this.

who do i complain to for the injuries suffered from falling off my chair ?
so while you are still high on your meds ......
- Grids can be solved without them needing to be jarring on the eye. Dave does this very well with his FPW stuff. It means thinking about your scenery etc so that the grid can both be seen and not seen
- Simon Miller plays very big multi player games at the shows and seemingly very successfully - fast moving and the battles get results
- Cards on the table look a bit odd but as we discovered with TTS tokens work just as well

I have seen the big game, and I have witnessed Dave's wonderful terrain, and, those really silly playing cards can be left at home.
I'm struggling to see a down side.
"BANG"
There he goes again.............strap yourself in, Simon.
I'm still a fan of P&S, mind.

It is, but ghis group has an aversion to gridded tables.
Not me
On normal sized tables the grid doesn't even need to be on the surface it can be marked along the table edges.
