That French figure is a delight. Beautifully done.

Thanks gentlemen. A little more progress over the weekend - now over 50% done with the French foot. One more group of Legere and 2 of Grenadiers (one of these early done) to go. And pushing through some more dragoons. They need a little adjusting here and there before I'll be happy with them, but it's been awhile since working on them and my approach to the CP has been evolving so no surprise there.

My Perry ACW bargain box arrived, so had to mess around with those a bit as well. Need to fiddle around with my palette a bit as I'd like a smoother finish on these.

Looking good. I would have said the dragoons are very 'green' but scale effects need it.

Thanks, my dudes.

Now for the best thing going for the Frogs - 13th Cuirassier. First of an 8 figure group. Lighting is a bit harsh and obscures some of the mid-tones, but pleased with him overall. Starting to see the finish line for the French component of this project.

The effect is gorgeous, but why is his left arm red?

It’s brown below the epaulet- seems brown coats were mostly likely the uniform for this regiment. Maybe a quick blue/grey wash to make it more distinct?

This is the reason Naps are so popular: beautifully painted beautiful uniforms.

I didn't know that. They really do look like illustrations out of a uniform book.
