Much as I like the result of the 3D corridor, I’m now wondering whether I should be doing floor tiles only - without the walls. Walls mean the doorways need to be in fixed positions and so v inflexible. Also more difficult to pick up and move figures

If you're only doing floors, why not just print them?

Or, you could have a groove each side of the corridor shaped like an inverse railway rail. Have wall and door pieces with a rail underneath and just slide them in.

Are you making reusable rooms and corridors or just to a fixed design for the game? The walls do look good but it's how much more use you'll get from them against the work involved.
