I'll have you know the Baroness - a Weegie - is verging on the unfeasibly tall by the standards of the women in her family (and quite a few of the men, too).

A tall Weegie? That's an oxymoron surely? Though I do notice it's not nearly as marked as it used to be. 20 years ago, I'm not even 6 foot, but it wasn't unusual for me to be the tallest in the pub (they really should stop serving 12 year olds..)

I think he meant tall for a Weegie? Defined as someone who can see over the chip shop counter.

And actually on my workbench, some conversions for Viking baggage boats:

I had some 1/1200 cogs, purchased years ago, that actually had the metal masts rust out, so I have cleaned them up a bit, sawed a section off the bottom to make a towed barge, and added greenstuff. Still lots to do, like basic rigging, tow ropes etc, but it's a fun little piece.

And chopping up second hand HO track for scenery, I've cut pieces for a level crossing, a set of buffers and about 3 metres of track. I do have a set of points somewhere to add, and i'm waiting for the ballast to arrive to get these glued, clamped and painted.

I should really be painting more Vikings of course.. or making a start on the Hanoverians from Flags of War.

I've completely lost any impetus to paint, probably due to the non-Ayton effect so i'll be clearing my desk for the foreseeable. At least it'll give me the chance to tidy up :)

Actually, she chips in at a respectable 5' 4" - a foot shorter than me, so I can rest my pint on her head when she's standing in front of me.

Of course, when I say "I can" what I actually mean is that I could, if I had a death wish.
