More Flags of War Jacobites arrived, so are currently being cleaned up and assembled. In fact, less than 30 seconds between thumping into the porch and being subject to the knife and file. Bloody lovely figures.

I bet you know exactly the reason why - you're just being pavaissive.
Kein Plan überlebt den ersten Kontakt mit den Würfeln. (No plan survives the first contact with the dice.)

Tempting to think that auto-correct would make that 'passive-aggressive'.
And aaarggh.. 28 figures cleaned up, and onto pennies, ready for undercoating.. but there should have been 32.. the caster is in lockdown and on pack was out of stock. Various expletives later..

I see British humour is alive and well. - in the words of the great Billy Connolly, you should get an agent, why sit there handling yourself?
And it's ok, i'm just going to re-purpose some spares from the character pack and the command group.. And wait for the others to eventually arrive. I have plenty of tartan to paint, so by the time I get through that lot, we could well be back up and running.

Buy small drill bits in 10s from your local tool merchant (Cromwell Tools for me). They are less than half the price of buying them individually from "specialist" modelling sites. so the cost of breaking one is insignificant.RMD wrote: ↑Tue Mar 31, 2020 10:46 amNo, a hand-held one. I only had two tiny bits and broke them ages ago. Not got around to getting any more.Wg Cdr Luddite wrote: ↑Tue Mar 31, 2020 2:49 amAre you drilling with a power tool ? Because I use small (< 0.7 mm)bits manually in a pin vice and hardly ever break them. Also I go straight for the correct sized bit because I find pilot holes not necessary.

Yeah, mine came from Expo Drills in Lamphey, but it's 20 miles away ('local') and I'll bother when I run out.
