Impressive at his age.

The Dettol bath is probably prudent.

Is there a view on basing for Pointy Sticks?? Thinking of skirmish style or larger/mass ranked armies??
Paul was telling me about the 3-2-1 approach I'm seriously thinking of using this. So for RAmpant that would be 2 X 3; 2 X 2 and 2 X 1. Asuming 12 figs in unit. I'll think I'll be using square rather than round bases. Makes unit easier to move and remove casualties.

I’ll stick to my current basing standard for this period, DBA frontage (60mm) and 150% DBA depth. Life’s too short to rebase this lot and if a full-scale Ayton is unlikely for this then it doesn’t particularly matter, does it? Casualty/shock markers will be fun to make.

I suppose, horses for courses.

I'll base up at least one unit that way. I only have one completed unit - based individually on round bases.

I prefer horse for main courses, they are a bit to strongly flavoured for an entrée. Although one could do something with dried horsemeat, sour cream and pumpernickel with a little garnish of sliced gherkin.

It's ok, I wouldn't choose it over anything other than dog. I ate it in Patagonia when we woke up on demob day to find half a metre of snow. Enough food for lunch and an unknown time in the tents. So, that arvo, I told the horse handler to slaughter the one he liked the least.

It filled the belly for nearly a week.

My favourite ever wargame rule, from Little Wars

"A force surrounded must surrender four moves after eating its last horse. "

Mine will go on pennies then sabots (pikes might get a smaller disc).

Horse is ok, quite strong so if you like game you may well like it. I am told antwerp horse burgers are good after a show.
