More topping up Vallejo for the German push.

I remember commenting on how many paints people end up with. All manner of shades there’ll barely touch... now I appear to have over 50 Vallejo’s.
What a wargames whore sellout junkie.

Just ordered half a dozen cheap 2nd hand MAAs on various shiny toy soldiery periods. FPW, Balkan Wars, Russo Turkish War etc. I have been piking my nose over the Irregular 42mm stuff for ages, just need to find some colourful uniforms to do.

I prefer the Irregular Cavalry to the STS ones.....although they do need a lot of tidying up!

There's a good book called Vanished Armies with uniform paintings or drawings made by AEHaswell Miller between 1907 and 1914 edited by John Mollo. It's maybe a little late for what you want but you might find it inspirational.

And then of course the Vinkhuijzen Collection

I think Irregular's 42mm range is much better than their ranges in other scales. I like the STS cavalry but they are slightly limited by the single body - although you can do wonders with a coat of paint

I thought it was a bottle-opener.
