Does the experienced cadre have any advice on how soon to book the local hostelry (the Forge?)?

Personally, I am not booking anything at the moment. I am still trying to use a voucher from Christmas 2019 :)

And who knows what sot of post-Apocalyptic wasteland Ayton will be by November?

It can't be any worse than it is now.

Sounds like a challenge... Will any Aytonians step up to the line?

Well she let us roll it over from May last year to October and then on to May this year so we should be ok. We've been every year since 2013.

Just thinking someone should sound them out - especially given the possibility of the "weekend" lasting (possibly) from Thursday to Tuesday.

You may like to hold on to your horses til we know how the Covid thing goes? Though it is looking better lately isn't it.
Bear in mind that the Ayton Hall is the backstop for a short weekend in case we can't get a long weekend, which may be near Ayton, or may be elsewhere. Apart from being that particular weekend, it's all a bit up in the air still.
As for an Ayton Wasteland, by November most of the summer corpses should have been eaten I mean, removed, and victims cars, property etc should have been sold on to people who reside in Hull, so really it should be getting fairly tidy in time for the fresh Christmas slaughter.

I've just had a conversation with W2D, Goat and the Count about future plans. So, purely to flag up an earlier straw poll (see page 32), below were the options we kicked around for what was then the October event but which has now become the November Ayton (hopefully. Fingers crossed).

All those who expressed an opinion chose option three. No one offered an alternative suggestion.

"1) Move the postponed two-day [anniversary] agenda to October, slotting in the games much as already planned.
2) Leave October alone and plan new games. Do the anniversary thing later.
3) Cut our losses on the existing anniversary plans and make October the new 10th anniversary event, in whatever form it takes (i.e people offer up their games to play over the four days – similar to what we did when we planned for 2020).
4) AN other suggestion."

That's clear enough I think.

I'll 2nd C18th...

And for the record. I don't have a body clock... My body is at best a sundial... I barely function unless the sun is out... And then every minute of every day is just defined by shadow... Dark dark shadow...

So yes. C18th... Probably... I better start painting now...
