I bought some of their Macedonians when they were released and they were a bit "meh" but those vikings are stunning with a great paintjob.

I've got a load of Macs to do as well. Think they suffer from boring poses... But will paint up fine... One day...

Excellent! Am I right in thinking that he's the same sculptor wot used to do the joint 'Command Decision' range of WW2 infantry for Skytrex & Old Glory? The FiB WW2 infantry are certainly very similar in style to the old CD figures.

After debasing & rebasing 600+ Airfix Romans & Britons, I have just 8 chariots to paint, but today I've been debasing 19thC 30mm S/Smiths, to be rebased for AGW. After this, no more de & re basing. I'm fed up with it.

To be honest. I really don't know, but it looks to me like the Vikings are one of the best ranges they do. I also got their Late Romans and they are nice, with again, loads of variety, but the Vikings he seems to have gone crazy on. I haven't actually counted properly, but there are at least 10 variants in their Huscarles I have painted so far.

My workbench has...

15mm Republican Romans
28mm WW2 French
And I'm repainting the bases on the troops Purps used at Ayron last year so they match mine.

I must admit that I haven't looked at what's available in years, because I've already got everything I need. However the remodelled Peter Pig British and Polish Airborne were really good the last time I looked (which was about ten years ago).

How does one debase a Roman. Is that clipping a curl of gold off the edge of the base and melting it down to sell? Curious people want to know.
