A fair bit of European horse left to do and some more infantry units and I'll have two larger side of 'medium' sized armies. Just need to buy some officers and maybe Jagers for the Prusskies. I'll call this project done for a while and focus on ancients for something me and Tim H. have in the pipeline.

I'll stick with my Polyurethane furniture varnish, it gives me the shine I'm after.

Danes of the 1840 War done. These were part painted part built scraps in a haul of Franco Prussian types I won on ebay. I wasnt going to bother with them but its looking like we'll need every figure for Ayton.

A veritable smorgasbord of loveliness, and not a sign of Grimm-ness anywhere.

Indeed
But they could not possibly be The Guard................
The Guard would not be seen running.............
Not in any direction
Marching in step maybe but never running

Prussian Guard Jagers (of sorts) again more an 1840's uniform. Not exactly correct as minus a plume but no Shiny Toy Soldier is ever exact within the limits of casting choices. These were put together by some odds and ends and topped up with what ever else was needed from an order to Peter to make 12 figures.
