I've finally managed to make a start on my ECW Parliamentarian infantry
Of the 3 regiments I based this afternoon there is one from First Corps, another from Bicorne and the final one from Richard Lloyd's lovely Bloody Miniatures range
In the first picture below, the left the Earl of Essex's regiment is from Bicorne Miniatures with Bloody Miniatures on the right and First Corps behind

First Corps lead the way, this is a generic regiment with flags by Flags of War

Maybe the odd First Corps figure has also crept into this Bicorne Regiment!

These two ranges really are interchangeable I think

The First Corps range is really nice and takes paint easily, I'm hoping they'll produce more options in time

The Bloody Miniatures range is just superb though, this is the regiment of Foote deal with a few extra packs added as I'm keen on 12 pike per regiment
John Pickering's Regiment of Foote

How do they all compare? a couple of side by sides

Pike - Bloody Miniatures pike are a little thicker than North Star spears

and finally shot
There's a really nice variation in the Bloody Miniatures range

Next up I hope will be some cavalry as I'm currently painting horses with some urgency

Those are beautifully painted and based! This will surely be a stunning ECW army! I'm looking forward to seeing these urgently painted horses with riders.

Sufficiently randomised clothing - CHECK
Lots of flags (minimum two per regiment) - CHECK
At least three ranks in every pike block - CHECK

Congratulations, Mr Valley, you have passed!

I was going to ask, Bro, if there was any end to your talents. But then I realised that, of course, there isn't.

Beautiful units.

And just in time for Andy's 17thC game at Ayton in 2026.

Could you give a description on how you store these 'pointy gents'?

Excellent paint jobs!

This has made me rethink me plan to sell my unpainted box of the Warlord Epic Pike and Shotte!
