If there's space and 4 people interested I could run lace hulk again.

One of these days I'll remember to make a note of the space available and the number of tables the Lodge can provide (we've never run out yet).......
Lots of offers of a game or games. Thanks chaps. I suggest this (but completely ignore me if you prefer).
Shall we revisit the question of games in early September after the school summer holiday? We'll have a better idea of attendee numbers then and better able to populate games. I don't think there will be any issues over space on the Saturday, when we have the Breakfast room and the Nook, but we may need to be a bit selective on the Sunday, when we might only have the Nook.
There will of course be a game or games in the Breakfast Room on the Friday, but I tend not to include these because it's often a day too far for many of you working types. Tell me if I'm off course with that.

Loving the idea of doing no planning or building any sense of anticipation

I'm a little tied up until the end of August so feel free to give cat herding a go. I wish you every success. Thanks for the offer.

Further to my post on 26 May.....
When I contacted the Lodge in May to see if they would indeed give a 10% discount on the Booking.Com price of £441 (four nights), I received an automated response from Andrea saying that she'd get back to me upon her return....on 18 June. I expect they will knock 10% off, but not yet.
There are other offers on Booking.Com that are cheaper.
I still can't get the hotel's booking system to work. My advice is to secure a booking with Booking.Com, at a rate which allows you to cancel the booking, but take a screen dump of the other rates on offer. Then see if you can get the hotel to beat the cheapest rate.
I'm a bit fed up with being told by the owner and manager that they're keen for people to book direct only to find that the on line system isn't up to date and that they seldom answer the phone or respond to emails. Arrrrrrgh!
Good luck
Iain

There are some cheaper offers on booking.com especially if you use the mobile app. I'm not staying overnight in november though. Happy to take the hit in May but it's a lot to do it again in november when I don't really need to
