A quick update. I have now booked the venue for the dates specified. Apparently there is going to be a meeting of the Sausage Fest politburo in February 2019, and the pro-sausage lobby is making a move to overthrow the cancellation of this venerable festival, so hurrah for the bangers!!!

Is this sausage festival a genuine thing, or is it "sausage" and in "sausage and cress" of the Purple variety?
