Looks like coles and woolies here.

I normally order my groceries on Monday or Tuesday for delivery on Friday, although I can normally get next day if I want it. Last week I had t wait till Saturday evening, so this week I ordered on Monday afternoon. They couldn't deliver before Monday.

I also nip up to woolies on Saturday, have brekkie in the coffee shop and buy a few things that coles don't offer, or fresh fruit or stuff that is out of stock at coles. Last weekend they had a limit of 32 bogrolls and the checkouts were working overtime to get the bogroll punters through.

Some people have got buyers remorse (their kids probably don't like sleeping in the street so their bedroom can be turned into a preppers warehouse. And the super markets have refused to accept returns, suggesting that they contribute their inventory to charity.

It amazes me that soaps are limited to 5 per customer. One pump action soap in our house lasts over a month! And we’re more fanatical than most about hygiene

I haven't witnessed any panic buying here. Perhaps it's a northern thing?

My Parents, down in Hampshire, have been trying to find some Paracetamol for four or five days. By all accounts Jezzas photos are typical of supermarkets down there. If anything it's less bad up here with only Hand Sanitizers, Loo roll, canned potatoes and eggs being unavailable when I did the weekly shopping on Wednesday.

Unfortunately it's this panic and hoarding which will cost lives and put more people in hospital. People in non vulnerable groups should not be grabbing ten packets of paracetamol or all the soap as hen the vulnerable can't get it. By definition it's likely that the healthy will get to the shops first and get firs dibs so not exercising restraint is extremely selfish. [End of public Service Announcement].

You can tell that the hoarders are not regular pasta eaters - they've left all the sauces (or maybe it wasn't their Dolmio Day?)!

The paracetamol thing is a result of panic in India, which is where a lot of that particular medication is manufactured, and the authorities there are worried that Indians won't have enough (which is almost funny as I suspect a lot of Indians - and probably the section of the community most likely to get sick - can't afford medicines anyway; mind you, standing downwind of the Ganges would normally allow you to fill a medical textbook). That said, I'm not sure how you "panic buy" the stuff, as the typical supermarket won't let you buy more than one pack at a time, due to suicide risk (for which one pack would usually be enough anyway).
