Re: What's on your workbench?
That’s nice. So would you use the airbrush again for basecoating ?

Re: What's on your workbench?
I would, it gives an interesting effect if you play with angles etc. And you can get excellent colour transitions from light to dark.
If the airbrush is half decent, you can be pretty accurate so you can minimise the potential disadvantage of having to watch what else gets coloured in. I didn't take a huge amount of care with these, but you could be very accurate.

This probably shows the transition best: (also shows the dodgy overspill on the scabbard I'm afraid).

Good work (and, as someone who has both lectured and done stand-up successfully, I am 100% with you on the You Tube thing!).

Now if only I could figure a way to airbrush tartan, the Jacobites would be easier too

That's only available in enamels, PITA to airbrush, but the Humbrol Authentic Tartan range should give you all the tartans you need for a good Jacobite rising. Their cap dicing is excellent too.
Re: What's on your workbench?
Bah! I used Humbrol Authentic Tartan 1 (Government Sett) for my Black Watch and it included a red overstripe!
