Killing some time while traveling and had a thought -- let's make a better sabot tray. Cut all the way through, eliminate the bottom mdf layer and use sheet magnet instead. But thinking it’d be even better if I tweak the perimeter, and make a few variants, to avoid obvious modularity and add some texture to the top surface.
Then, in a blinding flash of the obvious!!!
Update: think I've got something worth running a test print to assess.

Very nice, that’s what I do with MDF bases but, as said in general wittering, the pre-textured surface is a great time saver.
This 3D print lark is starting to look very useful.

Re: HMS Priapus' Flying Bridge
Still fiddling with my printed sabot base prototypes, but good progress. I'll have some to show soon.
In the meantime, my most ambitious print yet. La Iglesia de Los Santos Pederastas. Or some thing similarly inappropriate.
A couple more shock markers nearing completion.
And my dismounted dragoons for SP2. Need to get some horse holders now!

That church looks up to Grand Manner quality and size. You’re giving me ideas - stop it, I don’t need anymore

Love the work on the dead Cuirassier's helmet. Very nice. Oh, and I want one of those churches, (and a windmill) when I seriously start on my Peninsular terrain.

Thanks gentlemen... Latest progress below. A few items left to have the bugler does to satisfaction and along the way I'm taking suggestions on how to paint the dog (and his bollocks).

You've come to the right place for advice on the dog's nads... Plenty here who can talk bollocks for hours...

I might have to green stuff on a bigger pair, depending on the advice I get.
