Got on well doing some 42mm Spencers today. British in foreign service at trail. Painted as for 2nd Afghan War. Not my finest brushwork by far but I was keen to get them done and they'll be the only khaki unit in my British force. I wanted a unit to look like they had just got back from foreign fields or had yet to be deployed. No home service spiked helmets for these rugged lads!

Since 1st June, I have been cleaning, prepping and undercoating a load of AWI highlanders in trews (a mix of Perry and King's Mountain Miniatures) for an SP2 force that will eventually include a 3-pdr cannon with RA crew and at least one group of 17th Light Dragoons. Slight hiatus when my ageing two-part epoxy didn't work and the arms I was attaching to the pair of KMM Highland mounted officers sagged, and eventually fell off overnight (I put this down to several cans of Fosters inducing a bad case of gluer's droop).

Other tasks included converting a couple of Perry line infantry officers to McJocks by adding Greenstuff shoulder sashes (as opposed to the waist variety, which get carved off), belly-box cartridge pouches (as opposed to the hip[ster] variety, which get carved off), and kilmarnock bonnets (as opposed to the floppy hat, which get.....ok, you get the idea). Hoping to put up some photos later this week - as it will take me at least that long to work out how to do it.

After realising (again) that I hate painting figures I'm working on some of the TT Combat Venetian buildings, which were due to be done for Aytons Gothicish Horror game.

I painted up a Gnome army for a Warhammer campaign (2nd Edition so it was a while back )
Mine was Essex Miniatures and had an unfeasibly large number of Chariots.
