Well sort of, if fishing rods count.

Rubicon Sherman M4A3E8.. absolutely lovely model. I made a couple of minor modifications (drilled out lifting rings, and cleaned up headlamp brushguards). The 50 cal is the wargames version, as Rubicon include a model .50 cal as well with a correct scale barrel which is way too fragile. Commander is from their US tank crew set.

I just couldn't attempt a model that big. It would take me months to finish it.

Hopefully I will lay down th ebasic olive drab with the airbrush tonight or tomorrow. Although it might be more sensible to wait till I assemble the other two Shermans..

Nice - but why hasn't it got bits of spilled glue all over it like anything I tried to put together would have?

I was just about to say the same.

Well, I bought the correct glue...! and then made sure I wiped the excess off the glue brush before application.. I've learned from experience. Plus, a good semi-round file will fix a lot of things.

In all honesty, the Rubicon kits are so well designed so you can normally apply glue in locations where it isn't immediately obvious, like put the hatches in, then apply glue from the underside of the hull. The one exception is the headlamps and then it's a case of applying glue to the smaller surface.

That looks really good, nice work on the sarissa floor. But what is this thing with being able to do hobby stuff on a Friday night? Shouldn't you be doing the traditional drinking?
