The lavender forests of Western Russia are famous.

A finished Panzer III. Beautifully painted by me to have its barrel snapped off straight away (Warlord plastic kit - I complained at the ease of this happening and they sent me a free resin kit! Great service! Not the only time theyve sent free replacements for things that were really my fault)

I replaced the barrel by pin drilling and inserting a brass rod, worked perfectly!

I don't mind most of the Warlord plastic kits, the Char B1 bis is very nice indeed, but the Rubicon ones are generally much better. I'm hanging out for their early mark PzIII and Comet kits. Supposedly out soon.

Far prefer Rubicon but they are pricey. I have the Panther a T34/76 a Wileys Jeep, which was eyewatering for what it is but it was a gift. Need a Sherman and a Panzer VI next.

I did buy their Pacific Steel deal which scored me three boxes plus the tank crew set, and two sets of wading gear and the dozer blade in resin for £61. And I got three Shermans from two kits as I had a spare top hull, transmission cover, running gear and turret between the M4A2 and M4A3 kits. I just had to scratch build a plastic plasticard box to sit it on. So it worked out pretty cheaply. I do agree, if you buy the kubelwagen or jeep it seems really pricey for such a tiny vehicle.

Hussar: "Run away, Comrades! The big* man with the numbered cubes is trying to bonk us!"
General: "My жопа hurts! Where is the cooling cream?"

Those really are rather good. The yellow is especially nice. On my work bench are 9x 6mm dragoons from Pete Berry that I am painting as a charitable donation for Per at RollAOne
