What are people buying?
Re: What are people buying?
Stuff for three terrain projects, foam flock, snow powder, modelling compound, sealant, resin etc... Terrain making is so much more fun and satisfying than painting figures
Re: What are people buying?
Do you find it difficult to obtain snow-powder, now that COVID-19 police checks are disrupting the county-lines networks?

Re: 6mm WW2, it's one of the 1st hobby things I did, back in the early 80s. Still got the stuff, and I'll be trying Blitzkrieg Commander IV (NW Europe) at some point.
Simpler rules are becoming increasingly appealing, and WW2 is one of those periods where stats and complexity tend to dominate.

Me too - for O groupgoat major wrote: ↑Fri Apr 03, 2020 11:49 am I've got the ACW - it looks nice. DBN is my massed battle ruleset of choice though for Nappys.
I was getting interested in O Group when it arrives. I've been wanting a decent set of rules for large-ish actions using micro tanks for some time. Didnt like Rommel rules.
GdeA is my Napoleonic set of choice and Pickett's charge for ACW both by Dave Brown

So true. That's why I am working hard on a simple, but historical set.World2dave wrote: ↑Fri Apr 03, 2020 7:02 pm

Re: What are people buying?
The trouble with ww2 is that it is a complex set of interactions to model, not least in the combined arms aspect.
The art is to focus on the part that interests you and abstract around that decision tree.

Oh the whole thing is abstract. No insignificant details at all.

Just realised I made a total fuck up with a recent AB order - I bought 98 Russian Napoleonic Grenadiers instead of musketeers ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
