Triumph of optimism over experience, it's been 15 years so far and she's very tolerant.. thankfully.

Last week I have been daubing some paint on these people whilst on work conference calls.

They are 10mm Blaze Away ACW I am going to use for grand tactical gaming with one base = a brigade using Altar of Freedom.

There is a good video on these rules being used to refought Gettysburg on Little Wars TV. https://youtu.be/mDKIHp3jhd8

Those look rather good. I spotted the Blaze-Away 10mm and was very tempted by them, till I realised i needed a new period like a wino needs another bottle of Buckie.*

*As in not at all, but it would feel like a really really good idea at the time, there would be a short term high, and then the long dark night of regret and pain each time I looked into my own soul and asked truthfully whether they would ever see a tabletop,

Of course I dont need them. I have a fairly large 28mm ACW collection that has not seen the light of day for a while.

It does not help that Lancashire Games have a 15% off sale on Blaze Away at the moment.

The Ebay load of Warlord stuff arrived today so I made a start. The Konflikt US heavy infantry have had a head swap and will be headed off to Zona Alfa, I then did the first sprue of US infantry, Jesus, they're enough to make you share Purp's opinion of multi part plastics. I couldn't get the BAR to look right on any of them. As I'm only going to use them for Kumbayah they may well end up with an MG42.
