I wouldn't mind a copy please, Mark.Ilkley Old School wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2020 7:53 am I have a electronic copy of the advanced Charge rules, I got from the defunct OSW Yahoo group, I can send you a copy.
It just the rules so does not have the pictures, examples of play or the Batlle of Sittangbad.
Alternatives to an original are the paperback Facsimile reprint or the paperback Athena Version published in the 80s. The Athena one is a better option of the two.

Re: What are people buying?
Every so often, when I'm feeling nostalgic, I cast an eye over the Prince August catalogue and visualise 40mm semi-flat armies marching across a table cloth. Then I think about the actual process, and it wears off again.
The other temptation is the Lancashire Games Blaze Away 10mm ACW, with an army pack at 20% off. The only thing stopping me is that I have 6mm, 15mm and 28mm terrain. But none for the ACW, and certainly none in 10mm. Well, not the only thing, I have no idea what rules I would use. Oh, and I have 6mm FPW, in need of paint, and that might just be a bit too similar.
And rules.
Ok, maybe i should just get on with painting stuff before I buy any more.

Defeatist or realist? I did a quick stock take the other day and there are horrific numbers of 28mm French and British British Napoleonic figures from when I was buying online bargains for them and the AWI. Etc.

I don't believe that the two are mutually exclusive.
