Thanks chaps. I especially like the 'Baron' figure.

He has heaps of character.

Wasn't aware of anything from the AWI period, although the militia doesn't surprise me (nothing about them ever does!). The KGL is a bit odd, though - are they sure it wasn't a gunner's jacket?

That's lovely. That figure has sat on my 'to paint in the immediate future' shelf for about 12 years.

No indeed, I was speaking more in general terms, as they're both Napoleonic. They're both definitely drummers' coats, being heavily laced. I think the KGL must have supplied themselves after only partly-reading the relevant Osprey book. The original Old Glory sculptor probably worked for the KGL... There's also a surviving KGL King's Colour which is 'upside-down'...

Yes, Foot and Horse. They were to all intents and purposes, identical to the RA & RHA.

The KGL aren't the only ones who can't get their standards the right way up.

I guess an artillery jacket would have yellow lace, whereas a drummer would have white.

Bit sad, these chaps not reading the relevant Osprey before equipping themselves.

The 1st Battalion of the 'Red' Wurzburgers are finished. My first SYW figures in about 25 years! :D I thoroughly enjoyed painting them and the 2nd Battalion is almost finished, with the Wurttemberg Leib Regt also entering the production-line...

They look great, did you say those were Old Glory? Love the Grenadier moustaches.
