He's very much looking forward to spending the next session to woo his new librarian lover.
Even if she does look like a young Sarah Millican.
Still, better than looking like an old one.

As the church burned, Lloyd Allen follower of the faith burst out of the crowd and screamed that his son Mortimer was inside. Clearly having taken a bang to the head , Randall mistook himself for a brave hero and ran straight inside the flaming building closely followed by Karina. They found the child and rescued him, though he was badly burned and injured. The preacher came and layed hands on the child who was then taken away to the preachers house. The reverend implored everyone to return that evening where he would conduct his sermon in the open air.
Meanwhile Dr Singh explored many nooks and crannies with the librarian.
Hilaire returned to the hotel where he was admonished by the landlady for badly treating the doll Estelle. Luckily for him Karina proved to be more charismatic than a Frenchman and talked her round. The pair went off to set up the radio and report back to Caduceus. Afterwards they came across an angry, heavily-pregnant girl looking for her missing husband Gregory from the telegraph office.
Derrick and Randall returned from the diner. The manager seemed very concerned about what had happened at the church and asked them to meet him at the diner later as he needed to get word to Bill Schoenbaum.
Meanwhile Dr Singh explored many more nooks and crannies with the librarian.
The group (without the amorous Mr Singh) visited the telegraph office where the manager told them he hadn't seen Gregory for most of the day. He also became quite transfixed by Karina's chest and divulged that Gregory was probably having an affair with Susie Schoenbaum, having lost interest in his wife since the Reverend delivered her baby a couple of months ago. The wife who currently appears to be 8 months pregnant….
Dr Singh was forced to take a break from nook exploration as Alice wanted to take him home to meet mother. Mother was asleep it seems but he did notice a strange naked woman on the rooftop of the building opposite. Pearl Schoenbaum apparently who has been locked upstairs since the reverend laid hands on her and caused her to transform into something different. Dr Singh went to visit the Schoenbaums and ran away after been threatened by violence.
Everyone met up again and went to the sermon. There the reverend preached to the crowd about Adam and Eve and their escape from imprisonment in Eden and how the Lord had come to them in his true form and provided the knowledge to escape. The reverend brings out rattlesnakes and walks among the crowd, many of whom are speaking in tongues. The rescued young boy walks with him, seemingly recovered though with a strange look in his eyes.
The heroes are offered an angry rattlesnake. Karina tries but it prepares to lunge, and with amazing dexterity Hilaire grabs the snake and it entwines sedately around his arm. The preacher takes Hilaire and the boy back to the altar and is coming to the climax of the sermon when a shot rings out and the reverend falls to the ground, a bullet clean through his head. A shooter was spotted on the building behind and most of the heroes, with the sheriff give chase.
Losing the sheriff they catch up with what must be the shooter - Hilliard from the lumber yard, seeming deranged and shocked.
Meanwhile Hilaire gathers up one of the snakes and the bible and moves over to the preachers house. Before he goes inside he sees the sheriff come back with his posse declaring that this time Bill Schoenbaum is going to pay for his crimes.
And there we leave it for another time. Hot library passions, true heroics, ample bosom charms and snake charming. These heroes are raising their game…

I only needed one hand to save you, the other was pulling on a Gauloise.
And who spotted the shooter and distracted the crowd? Hilaire the eagle-eyed 👁

I'm not sure there's any evidence that he can restrict himself to public learning institutions
