I was liking the idea of devoting a month to one project at a time, so this January I will be mostly painting Home Guard for a little CoC. Should be possible to complete the force by the 31st (possibly alongside 11 goblins)

I suspect I must be in a kind of indecisive phase as I note the presence of Empress ECW cavalry, First Corps ECW infantry, Aventine Roman Auxiliaries, Groping Beast Mounted plastic Arabs, Perry 28mm Napoleonic French Hussars & Warlord Landsknechts in various stages of completion on my painting desk

Still plugging away at Trojans, although they're nearly finished. Just the opposition to do next . . . .
Someone bought me a history of Sparta for Christmas so I might have to start another pointy sticks army soon.
Empress ECW cavalry staring at me accusingly too.

Got my El Cid Spanish knights built finally. Will be medium cavalry in my Lion Rampant Milites Christi warband. Also found a new use for my Christmas cheese board.

I was getting tempted despite selling off my Spartans a couple of years ago.

I quite fancy late spartans so my macedonians can kick them around the table under Antipater.
