And this chap, just out from the airbrush. Long way to go yet. Although since this was taken, I've added oxide undercoat, oil pinlining, decals, grime and detail painted bits, whitewash, snow and mud to go.

Those both look rather nice. I've not yet managed to do decent looking snow. I bought the snow groundscater from warlord, its been ok but I need to clump it better.

Thanks chaps, I confess the snow is just bicarb. I've used it before on a 15mm Teutonic Knights army, and provided it's sealed properly, seems to last pretty well.

I'm having fun with the big kitty too, using various techniques I've read about. Hopefully it will come out alright. The real challenge is which comes first, mud snow mud or snow mud snow?

What colour did you use for the rifle stock? You really seem to have captured the right tone, which is far from the norm in my (very limited) experience.

Vallejo mahogany highlighted with a mix of mahogany and the army painter spear brown. it seems to work well.
