That's why I don't stress too much. But I do like them to be slightly different from the UK uniforms. It would be dull if everyone just had to be either brown or field-grey.

.....but within six months of exposure to the elements had faded to ginger-brown.
Was "exposure to the elements" a euphemism for some fairly extreme, bowel-evacuation inducing, flying manoeuvres?

Only on the part of those unfortunate to have to fly with me.

The fading on flying suits flagged up some interesting rank changes where the braid had been removed. One of the weekend Chipmunk pilots on the AEF at Bristol was badged up as a Flying Officer, pre retirement he had been an Air Vice Marshal.

Not well painted Crusader French from many years ago. I did mine in a greeny khaki as I wanted to differentiate them from the Brits and the colour guides I had suggested a more greeny look. I've got a Warlord French army to do next but have reverted back to a more brown khaki.
I'm not bothered by Crusaders Poles and Romanians as I've done so much khaki in my British force it would be like groundhog day. Though the new Romanians are tempting. Having said that I think I'd go for Hungarians if /when I add Eastern Front axis alllies.

Finally finished off my core Sub Roman British force for Dux Britanniarum.
But the madness continues, as now I have purchased enough Picts to do at least two DB forces... anyone want to purchase a 30-40 Wargames Foundry Pictish infantry?

I’m deciding whether or not to buy 2 foot of Roman walls (incl a gate section)from Sarissa. I fancy having it as a sally point in my Arthurian games. Arthur and Lancelot charge from the gate to rout the filthy Saxons looting the village that sits outside the walls of Camelot.

So in this case, it really will only be a model.
