Of course, none of the above applies if the cavalry has the word "Gateway" in front of it.....

A measuring thing marked off in Imperial inches. A sound and proper way of measuring distance.

About 12D6

Counters to record hits on your units. You'll need to count up to a maximum of 8 hits on any unit. I'm hoping to supply enough for everyone, but........well, maybe I'll run out of time.
I have spare dice available to replace those purple and yellow ones that only Iain can read.

And appear to have more than one 6 on them.

I was going to tell you all about controlled running away and having men return to the colours......but it's too late in the day now.

Suffice it to say, if a unit or a Brigade looks like it's about to expire (i.e. be wrecked), it may be time to do a rapid withdrawal. It's a controlled dash to the rear which gets a bit of extra movement. It doesn't come without risks but, if it's a question of life or death! 'Brigade Recall' is the order you're looking for.

If a unit does find itself with a bit of breathing space, it can attempt to have men return to the colours. A straight forward dice roll does the trick, with chances of success being increased by a nearby Leader.

Finally, I forgot to mention that you'll find it useful to have so markers to indicate Brigades which have been activated.

See you all Friday night.

Ah. So here it is, we all knew it was coming. The Gateway Manoeuvre. A special rule that means EB doesn’t have to leave for home by lunchtime on Saturday.

I wouldn't be returning home, Jezza, I'd be standing at your shoulder and offering 'considered' rulings on your game.

I can testify that the new rules are going to work really well.
On top of that, Iain has created a cunning way to make the QRS conveniently available to all players at once...
