I'm about 85% sure I can make it. I'll confirm as soon as I'm home from Jockland

I'll be there 😊

It's only a question of how many are coming, so we can hire the whole hall, just the main hall, just the back room, or a room at the Lodge, dependent on numbers coming.

Some thoughts on games over the weekend then. EB and I will be putting on a shiny ACW or Napoleonic game at the Lodge on the Friday, then Saturday whichever shiny game we didn't do on the Friday. (I'm going to suggest ACW on Friday and then premiere our Napoleonics on the Saturday. On Sunday I will run some 54mm "What a Cowboy" skirmishes.

I'm happy with whatever works for people. I'm big into ACW at the moment and stepping back into Napoleonics will be like being twenty again.
However if others need numbers or facilitators for other games i'm very relaxed about what I play.
Definitely up for some Cowboy shenanigans on the Sunday though :D (Are the Lardy rules any good?)

Paul, yes they are. I am not a Lardy fan as many know, I think their stuff is very much Emperor's New Clothes. But these were not written by the Lardies Clarke and Skinner. I ordered my copy from watching the training videos on You Tube, and today played three games with EB and Pembs. They are fun, create a narrative, and are reasonably quick to pick up. You can get quite involved with the characters and if you play it in the spirit intended you will have a blast with them. Just don't allow EB to stand by and say "Don't throw a one", it's very bad JuJu.

I was involved pretty much from the start in the test playing back in the early days of Covid. John’s done a good job with them

I’ll be porting them to the Star Wars universe post Vader’s death.

John’s also got a gangster and Cartel wars version which I have the drafts for, these might be published in the Lard Mag later this year.

It’s a very portable system, the core concept of Nick’s WaT! is very malleable.

That's interesting Jeremy. It struck me yesterday that it was a system that could support different eras and genre quite well. With just a couple of period appropriate tweaks. I was thinking it might give quite a good French Indian War skirmish..

I'll be there, no great preference for games unless anyone fancies digging their VBCW stuff out for Xenos Rampant. It's another one of those games that you can play using one copy of the rules and some QRS's.

I don't mind what we do, happy to put on a DBN game if anyone wants it.
